MAPNA is ready to bring 5000 MW of new power plants next year

The Chairman of the Board and Managing Director of the MAPNA Group, on the eve of the second phase of the Parand Power Plant’s steam generator unit, explained the features of the project, a combined cycle and part of the current and future plans of the MAPNA in the field of power industry, and expressed the hope: with the arrival of the steam unit of the Parand combined cycle power plant The network will be part of the country’s electricity consumption needs in summer.

Dr Abbas Ali Abadi said: By converting gas units into a combined cycle, the total unit of the Parand power plant will increase to about 1,500 MW. This power plant is located near the strategic section of Tehran and the city of Islamshahr and the southern regions, and the construction of its units is about to end. The first steam unit has been synchronized with the network since November of the last year and is in production orbit, and I hope that next week, the steam unit will reach the production circuit, which in the current situation will be of great help to supply Tehran with electricity. The third steam unit will definitely be orbited by the end of this year.

He said the value of steam units of the combined cycle is due to the fact that the sooner they enter orbit, saving their fuel for the country is important, even if we do not need electricity, we can remove a gas unit from the circuit and a fuel-free steam unit entered.

Dr. Aliabadi assessed the value of the investment in the construction of Parand power plant steam at 407 million euros and estimated the value of investing in the sewage disposal plant to provide needed water at around 13 million euros, adding that this investment by MAPNA and the people without reliance on external financing And has created a permanent fuel economy for the country.

He noted: Ferdowsi and Asalouyeh steam and gas projects have been developing well and will enter the circuit next year. At the same time, I want to emphasize that, given the country’s lack of water, we have tried to exploit a technology that uses the least amount of water and is completely indigenous. The ACC system replaces the Heller system and other systems and uses the minimum water requirement from the sewage sludge, not from living water. The effluent is converted to distilled water after purification and used in steam cycle.

“He said,” Of course there are hydro, solar and wind power plants, but the share of thermal power plants is all the more outstanding and far more spacious; however, due to the exhaustion and low efficiency of some power plants and cycles, The simplicity of some new power plants with efficiency is about 33 to 34 percent; in general, if all power plants are considered, the average efficiency is 30 percent. We also have a 50% efficiency plant and a solar power plant with an average efficiency of 37%, which is not a bad number compared to advanced countries, but it is not good compared to modern and modern power plants.

Dr. Aliabadi pointed out: “Fortunately, there is the opportunity to turn gas and steam units into a combined cycle. Thus, at a very early time, a serious increase in efficiency will be created and will reach 50% of the border, which will be of great benefit to the country.

Referring to the amount of investment, he said: “Parand Power Plant along with Ferdowsi power plant in Khorasan province and Asalouyeh power plant, by Mapna and with MAPNA investment worth 420 million euro for each and a total of one billion and 200 million euros is executed. Parand power plant has up to 90% physical progress.

He said: “With the arrival of steam unit of the power plant of the combined cycle of Parand into the country’s electricity grid, part of the problems that have come to the people this summer will be resolved.

“What happened first time at the Parand power plant is that it does not use underground aquifers and current waters, but it uses ACC technology, which uses minimal water consumption, and it is also consumed from the waste water from the city of Parand,” he added. Most importantly, 480 megawatts are added to power generation.

Dr Aliabadi, referring to the conversion of gas units into a combined cycle, said the project was the start of a major operation. Mapna Transformation of Orumiyeh, Ardebil, Chabahar, West Karun and Rudshour. Also, a number of Parand model gas units are carrying out conversion operations into a combined cycle. In total, there are currently 160 gas units and a total of about eight thousand megawatts that are prone to becoming a combined cycle.

He said about the time needed to combine these eight thousand megawatt cycles in the face of financial problems: “It is a fundamental problem in the electricity economy, and our electrical industry is not an economic activity and is supplied at an unrealistic rate, as a result of the return on capital to a very late, And there is not enough resources to do this.

He said that in the project to convert the gas power plant into a combined cycle, its resources are in its own right, and 600 million cubic meters of natural gas or diesel fuel will be stored in the converter. If the same savings resources are injected into the development of the process of combining the power plants, the project will be accelerated, and it would be helpful if we could export non-fossil energy to neighboring countries and bring its full benefits to the development of the combined cycle of gas units. For example, for the Parand Power Plant, it took about 30 months to complete the operation. Although some units are also entering the circuit earlier, the total eight thousand megawatts of the existing gas unit can be combined simultaneously for 30 months or about 5 years, respectively.

He mentioned about the sources of the steam project of the Parand combined cycle power plant: the cost of investment in the project of Parand Power Plant and the Asalouyeh and Toos power plants from non-governmental sources, including the sale of sukuk and futures bonds, and the creation of a project fund in the stock exchange, as well as its own resources, MAPNA Has been. He added: “In less than two years, these resources will be returned, and generating electricity can supply the country for many years.”

Managing director of the Mapna group said that in the neighborhood of Parand Power Plant, three units of class F of the Rudshur power plant and in Sabalan and Urumieh, with the private sector investment, are converting gas units into a combined cycle, and at the Chabahar and Kashan power plants, a single unit is being implemented by Mapna.

He added: “Mapna has not yet been able to own a National Development Fund, but it has funded through stockbroking, and about 19 gas units are becoming a mixing cycle by the MAPNA group. The Bhuban power plant was also co-funded last week by Ghadir and MAPNA. The Gulghar steam plant is also under construction and Qeshm power plant under construction.

Dr. Aliabadi emphasized that the Mapna Group now has about 6,000 megawatts, with significant improvements, and F-type and E-type turbines.

Dr. Aliabadi said: We need resources to run these projects. Thousands of tons of iron and superalloys have been used in power plants to be exploited. If the revenue from this power plant and the fuel at the plant from the depths of the Gulf in the Persian Gulf undergoes refinement and other processes, it enters the power plant through a compressor pipeline and turns into electricity and goes through the distribution network to the houses. We are comparatively small in scale. He added: “We will reimburse the cost of this electricity from public revenues.”

Managing director of the MAPNA group, said: “MAPNA is technically capable of producing 8,000 megawatts annually. MAPNA now makes two to three thousand megawatts annually, but these resources are not returned to MAPNA. The money of the Parand power plant will not be encouraged by investors if they do not return from saving.

He considered the first priority for the power industry to convert gas units into a combined cycle or convert heater units into a combined cycle, and pointed out: “If this is done, there will be huge resources from the country’s fuel economy, which is a huge income, and in less than two Years off the costs.

He said that in case of failure to implement Article 12 of the electric power homework, he said: In this case, the power plants will face a major problem. Many power plants are waiting for implementation of Article 12. The resources of these projects are in themselves and the fuel saved can be a cost provider.

Dr. Ali Abadi said that Mapna is a country-wide problem-solving machine and is a national institution that is preparing to bring 5000 megawatts of new plants next year, provided that the necessary resources or our own demands are met, and no need to inject new money We do not have

Dr. Aliabadi said: “Our biggest job in the electricity industry is electricity. We have to export electricity to neighboring countries. For example, there are now twenty thousand megawatts of diesel fuel and coal in our area that we can replace this amount with relatively clean gas. Because we have both industrial potential and gas. It is a humanitarian act and also a national and inclusive measure.

He added: “Today we have electricity exchanges with our neighbors. These exchanges must be increased and we should not let this market fall into the hands of others, geographically we have special privileges, and we have gas pipelines all over the country, and we can produce electricity at reasonable prices, and especially to the Iraqi countries that are important neighbors and We export to Pakistan, Afghanistan and Turkey or exchange with other countries.

Dr. Ali Abadi added: “Our priority should be steam power plants, because the steam sector of the power plants is one hundred percent built inside and creates employment for domestic labor force.”

He added: “MAPNA wind turbines are up to 80 percent built inside, and the remaining percentage is not economical to be built inside.
