MAPNA Group has signed memorandum of understanding (MoU) to construct a desalination plant in Gomishan, Gorgan Province.
Upon completion, the environment-friendly plant will be able to produce 10 thousand cubic meters of potable water per day. The MoU was signed in presence of President Hassan Rouhani during his visit to the northeastern province.
Construction of the desalination complex is part of the large-scale plans for infrastructure development in Golestan Province. MAPNA Investment CEO Division was also present during the MoU signing ceremony.
A 20-hectare land on the outskirts of Gomishan County has been earmarked for the project. Investment, execution, repair, maintenance and operation of the desalination plant will be carried out by MAPNA Group.
The project will receive a funding of 8-10 million euros by MAPNA Group.
RO (Reverse Osmosis) units will be procured by MAPNA Boiler and Equipment Engineering and Manufacturing Company, who will be also in charge of technology transfer and manufacture of the units.
Investment Division, Manufacturing Division, and Power Division of MAPNA Group will also be involved in the project.
